Wider Opening of Secondary Schools
Anglian Learning secondary schools have widened their school opening this week to cohorts of Year 10 and Year 12 students for face-to-face in school sessions. These sessions focus upon reviewing both the academic and pastoral needs of each pupil.
Anglian Learning’s top priority is the safety of pupils, their families and school staff. Schools continue to work hard to maintain and develop online learning for all their pupils. The schools have been able to widen their opening following extensive planning and arrangements being put into place as per the guidance received from the Department for Education. Social distancing measures are in place, the creation of classroom ‘social bubble groups’ and other implemented changes have been communicated to staff, parents and pupils, together with detailed information within a list of frequently asked questions. Anglian Learning will continually monitor and review the wider opening arrangements.
In line with the current national guidance, schools will continue to welcome pupils of critical workers and vulnerable pupils. Support for home learning will remain a priority until guidance changes. The support offered to these pupils is regularly reviewed to minimise the impact of not being at school for such an extended period.
