Marleigh Primary Academy Section 10 Consultation
Anglian Learning is delighted to launch its Section 10 consultation in relation to its new Primary Free School, being established to serve the community of the Marleigh development three miles east of the centre of the City of Cambridge. Marleigh Primary Academy is a brand new, state of the art primary academy with a 52 place nursery. When it opens in September 2022, the academy will take children from the ages of 3 – 11. As part of the process of opening a new school, Anglian Learning is legally required to hold a consultation exercise (under Section 10 of the Academies Act 2010) to determine whether the Trust should enter into a funding agreement with the Secretary of State to set up a free school, namely the Marleigh Primary Academy. Sample funding agreements can be viewed here.
The consultation will operate online and will allow parents / carers and pupils, staff and governors from local schools, other local authorities, councillors, local residents and any other interested parties to learn more about Anglian Learning and Marleigh Primary Academy and to share their views. This is an exciting time for us all as we embark upon this journey to open a brand new primary academy and establish links with our new community. This journey will provide opportunities to build on the strengths and experiences of our community in collaboration with other schools in the Trust. We are looking forward to hearing your views and working with you as we establish this provision for the children and families of the Marleigh development.
The consultation period will run until Friday 22 October 2021. Please complete our online survey which can be found here: https://forms.office.com/r/R4PWzKL7we
You can also share your views by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org
