Anglian Learning is dedicated to fostering a sustainable future and ensuring a better world for future generations.

We are in the process of developing our Trust Sustainability and Climate Policy, aligning it with the DFE Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy.

As part of our commitment, we have invested £2.5 million in decarbonising our school estate. This includes using School Condition Allocation funding for the installation of solar PV systems, complete LED lighting replacements, and cavity wall and loft insulation. These measures aim to reduce energy consumption, lower carbon emissions, and help schools manage budget constraints.

Our Strategy

Encompassing short, medium, and long-term actions to achieve the DFE’s four strategic aims, our strategy and overarching vision includes:

1) Excellence in education and skills for a changing world: Preparing young people for a climate-impacted world through education and practical experiences.

2) Net zero: Reducing emissions from education and care buildings, driving innovation to meet legislative targets, and providing opportunities for youth to engage in the transition to net zero.

3) Resilience to climate change: Adapting our buildings and systems to withstand the effects of climate change.

4) A better environment for future generations: Enhancing biodiversity, improving air quality, and increasing access to nature in and around educational settings.

Together, we aim to create a sustainable and thriving world for generations to come.
