Opened in 1937 as the second of Cambridgeshire’s Village Colleges, Linton Village College is still true to Henry Morris’ founding vision for life-long community learning.  With 875 students on roll, we are a relatively small, comprehensive 11-16 academy.

Linton Village College is a high-achieving school.  Our success is underpinned by a culture in which strong relationships, effective pastoral care and personal development opportunities are of paramount importance.  Ensuring a high quality education for all of our students on a daily basis is our core priority.

At Linton Village College everyone is a learner and every learner matters.  Our culture is characterised by an ambitious, inclusive and caring ethos.  We are committed to offering enriching learning experiences and strive for educational excellence.  This is reflected in our Leading Edge, and ArtsMark Platinum.

The six Linton Learner attributes are the qualities that we recognise, develop and promote in our students: curiosity, reflection, ambition, care, independence and responsibility.  We have a strong safeguarding culture at the College.

Linton Village College was awarded Teaching School status in 2013.  We have close links with the University of Cambridge and other teacher training providers as well as our local primary schools.  Our staff and students also benefit from links with the Granta Special School which is co-situated.

The College founded Chilford Hundred Education Trust in 2014 to support a struggling cluster primary school.  CHET grew to include other primary schools in the locality, all of whom joined Anglian Learning on 1 April 2020.  We are proud to be a member of this community-focused and like-minded family of schools.
