She is now Headteacher of Stapleford Community Primary School, part of Anglian Learning, following a successful term as Interim Headteacher.

Jayne joined Stapleford Community Primary School over a decade ago and has been involved with significant milestones for the school, including the opening of Stapleford Nursery in 2019.

Her academic journey began at Durham University, where she studied Theology, and later completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) to kickstart her teaching career. This sparked an interest in education that focuses on values, ethics, and empathy. With a strong passion for early years education, Jayne is deeply committed to providing young children with the best start in life.

On her appointment, she said, “I believe that the foundation years of a child’s education are crucial. My ethos when approaching primary school education is about creating nurturing, stimulating environments where children can grow and develop their full potential”

“I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to continue my work with Stapleford Community Primary School and will continue to lead the school in fulfilling our vision of curiosity, ambition, resilience and excellence for our pupils.”

Stapleford Community Primary School joined Anglian Learning in 2018. With the support of the Trust, Jayne undertook her National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) and several other training programmes to support her career development.

Rachael Johnston, Director of Primary Education for Anglian Learning, said, “With over 25 years of teaching under her belt, and a familiar face to Stapleford’s parent and carer community, we are thrilled to have Jayne become a permanent fixture of the school’s leadership. Her commitment to inclusive education and supporting her team to deliver an enriching curriculum for pupils is inspiring, and we look forward to seeing the school continue to prosper under her expert leadership”.
