Our Year 4 Hedgehogs had an exciting and inspiring day as they took part in a public speaking workshop with Noisy Classrooms — and what a session it was!

From the very start, the room was buzzing with energy. Pupils confidently shared their thoughts, opinions, and ideas, tackling topics that mattered to them. Lively debates sprang up over important questions such as dogs versus cats, while others tried their very best to persuade us all that pencil-biting should be banned for good! These moments were full of humour, creativity, and courage.

The workshop focused not only on speaking clearly and confidently, but also on listening to others and responding respectfully. The children learned that it’s okay to disagree, as long as it’s done thoughtfully and with kindness. This was a powerful lesson in communication, empathy, and confidence — skills that will support them far beyond the classroom.

What stood out most was the enthusiasm and bravery shown by every pupil. Many stepped outside their comfort zones, spoke in front of their peers, and discovered just how strong their voices can be. Watching their confidence grow throughout the session was truly wonderful.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 4 Hedgehogs for their effort, maturity, and willingness to give it their all. A huge thank you to Noisy Classrooms for delivering such an engaging and memorable workshop.

Well done, Hedgehogs — you were brilliant!
