A warm welcome to Marleigh Primary Academy’s new Interim Headteacher – Bridget Harrison
Bridget moved to Cambridgeshire as a toddler, attending schools in Suffolk and Essex near the Cambridgeshire border. Following her time at Hills Road Sixth Form College, she moved to Sheffield, where she studied History and Politics at the University of Sheffield. Bridget then completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Cambridge.
Over the past 22 years, Bridget has navigated various roles, progressing from volunteer and wrap-around care to teaching assistant, teacher, senior leader, SENDCO, deputy headteacher, and headteacher. More recently, she took on the role of Lead His Majesty’s Inspector (Schools), showcasing proficiency in the OFSTED framework and leading inspections across schools in the East of England.
Driven by a dedication to continuous improvement, Bridget has served as a governor in both primary and secondary schools. She has engaged in and led global projects in India and Africa. Additionally, she has worked as both a regional advisor and as a leadership consultant, sharing expertise and fostering improvement locally and nationally.
With a keen interest in government, politics, and public relations, Bridget eagerly anticipates leading Marleigh Primary Academy. Her ultimate goal is to ensure every pupil thrives in a nurturing educational environment, preparing them for future success.
