Launching our new website
Bassingbourn Village College is excited to launch its new website today, Tuesday 25th February. The website is a pivotal communication channel for the school outlining its core values of respect, resilience and responsibility as well as sharing key information such as news, policies and much more, with both its existing and prospective parents/careers alongside its students.
The new website has pages dedicated to the upcoming Year 8 option process, the Year 11 exams and extra-curricular activities; as well as key information such as our admissions and attendance processes, an interactive calendar and the latest news from within the College.
The new site has been designed as part of the Anglian Learning “refresh and redesign project”. Started in 2022, Anglian Learning started a Trust-wide project to refresh and redesign all of its academies’ websites with a design group established to collectively agree upon a common direction for the websites. It was important that individual schools’ identity were prominent as well as a clear presence of being a member of Anglian Learning. Furthermore, user experience has been prioritized and simplified in order to make using the site as efficient as possible.
Ian Stoneham, Principal of Bassingbourn Village College comments, “Launching our new website has been a priority for the College since I joined in September, and I am delighted to be in a position to share this with our community today. Regular and open communication is a key strategy for us as a College and our website is one element of how we can share updates and key information with parents and students alike. “
