Rediscovering the joy of teaching through creativi Rediscovering the joy of teaching through creativity 💛

The ‘Teaching for Creativity’ playbook has had a powerful, transformative impact on teachers across Anglian Learning.

Through our involvement in the #CreativityCollaboratives research project, many teachers have reported a renewed passion for teaching and felt more empowered.

Collaboration played a key role with teachers working in partnership, sharing planning tools, reflecting on best practices and co-developing new approaches to teaching and learning. 🤝

The result? More engaging classrooms, more curious minds, and more confident educators inspiring creativity every day.

Over 500 pupils from across our primary schools re Over 500 pupils from across our primary schools recently took part in Inspire25, a unique musical experience at @staplefordgranaryartsculture

Through The Tin Forest, a 60-minute immersive musical and theatrical adventure, pupils stepped inside the story with movement, sound, song, and imagination. From mechanical birds and human sound machines to body percussion and choral singing, every child became part of the performance🎭.

All pupils who took part contributed beautifully to the unique showcase and should be proud of their creativity and collaboration with other primary schools from across Anglian Learning. A huge thank you to:

👏 Kate Romano, CEO & Co-Artistic Director at Stapleford Granary, for making this inspiring opportunity possible
🌟 Emma Mason, Music Subject Lead at Linton Heights Junior School, for leading the event with such passion
👏 Our wonderful colleagues for preparing and supporting pupils on the day.

How does creativity transform learning? 💭💡 How does creativity transform learning? 💭💡

Our ‘Teaching for Creativity’ approaches empower pupils to apply learning to new contexts and questions, and tackle problems from multiple perspectives, encouraging deeper thinking and greater confidence.

Through our research, we have found that when pupils are given the opportunity to apply their knowledge in imaginative, meaningful ways, their motivation and engagement soar.

The results? Significant improvements in oracy, attendance, and overall enjoyment of learning across our schools.

Pupils from across our eleven primary schools will step into the world of Helen Ward’s and Wayne Anderson’s ‘The Tin Forest’ at @staplefordgranaryartsculture, with a three-day immersive musical journey of movement, sound and song.

Inspire25 will allow our pupils to explore imagination, collaboration and creativity in a professional arts venue.

We are thankful to Stapleford Granary for providing this unique opportunity, working alongside our colleagues to bring this story vividly to life.

🌟 Stay tuned for updates!
