Remembrance Day at Wimbish Primary Academy
On Sunday 9th November Mrs Pickford joined the Saffron Walden Remembrance parade, she lay a wreath on behalf of school during the parade. It was an honour to be invited to participate on behalf of the school to show our respect for fallen soldiers.

We were delighted to welcome many of our families in to join us for our Remembrance activity and assembly this week.
Our families joining together on the 11th of November it was a lovely poignant time, which gave us all time to stop and reflect. We were lucky enough that some of our military families were also able to join us.
The children had the opportunity to make a reflection jar as part of the session which when lit up allowed them time to sit and reflect. We were also very proud when they all stood for 2 minutes to observe the silence. We then placed the coins we had brought in to donate on our giant poppy.
We were thrilled with how much money we collected through the poppy sale earlier in the week. We have combined the donations and it has now been collected by the Royal British Legion.
Thank you for all of your support with this important occasion.
