Anglian Learning is delighted to announce the appointment of two new trustees, Sylke Scheiner and Phil Caroe, who will each bring a wealth of expertise and experience to our Trust Board.

Sylke Scheiner began her career in education as a music and English teacher before moving into leadership roles delivering professional and vocational programmes, as well as overseeing examinations for OCR and Cambridge International Education. Now retired, she is eager to use her knowledge to support the next generation of learners. Sylke is particularly passionate about ensuring every pupil has access to the highest quality education and opportunities to thrive.

Phil Caroe is Head of Risk at Allia, a charitable group that supports charities and impact businesses. Over the last 16 years with Allia, he has helped grow a small team into a thriving group covering workspace, business support and financial services, and along the way has held responsibilities for marketing, operations, governance, and risk management. Inspired by family members who work in education, Phil is committed to contributing his time, skills, and experience to the role of trustee, helping shape the strategic direction of our Trust.
