Director of Primary Education takes Bronze at National Teaching Awards

Anglian Learning is proud to announce Prue Rayner, Director of Primary Education, as a Bronze Winner for the award of Lifetime Achievement from Pearson National Teaching Awards.

Announced as part of the National Thank a Teacher Day, Prue was hand delivered her certificate, bronze badge and letter of congratulations from Sir Michael Morpurgo by Jonathan Culpin, CEO.

Jonathan said: “It was a pleasure to present Prue with the well-deserved award on behalf of Anglian Learning, highlighting the commitment she has given to our Trust and the education sector for the past 41 years.  Those who have had the pleasure working with Prue will agree that it is her passion and dedication to education that has helped to change the lives of many for the better”.

The letter from Sir Morpurgo said “The work you do – day in, day out – is life-enhancing, life changing… For a child to have a great teacher like you is so important.  You open doors, shine a light, you spend your working life passing on to children all that you know and love. Your devotion to them, to colleagues, to the schools you work in, has been extraordinary”.

The awards first begun in 1998, created to celebrate those in the education sector and the positive impact teachers have. Run by the Teaching Awards Trust and supported by Pearson and the BBC, nominees have over 15 categories to enter, ranging from Teaching Assistant to Headteacher.
